It’s that time of year again when pumpkins gain faces, dreams of candy fill children’s minds and beautiful Atlanta new homes strive to become haunted mansions. Yes, Halloween is almost here! If you haven’t made plans yet, check out some of these positively frightful local events.

If you live in Gwinnett, dress the kids in their most boo-tiful costumes and check out downtown Auburn’s Third Annual Spider Web Spooktacular on October 27. This all day family event is FREE and features fun fall crafts, games, a costume contest and enough candy to keep your dentist in business until next October! The event even includes a spooky movie in the park at sunset.

Looking for a fang-tastic event for Cobb County that doubles as a good cause? Check out the Second Annual Marietta Zombie Walk in historic Marietta Square on October 27 starting at 5 p.m. This event is kid and zombie-friendly and benefits MUST Ministries. All proceeds and canned food donations go to MUST Ministries to help their human needs mission. Plus, local merchants will be offering some “killer deals” to all participating zombies. As usual, Atlanta has a ton of fun events for this Halloween, including the ever popular Spiralween 2012 at Park Tavern. This adult costume party will feature live music from The Breakfast Club, DJs, dancing and wild costumes! There is even a $1,000 costume contest! If you are 21 and older stop by Park Tavern on Saturday, October 27 from 9 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. for a terror-rrific way to party this Halloween. Buy tickets before the prices get scary!
