The Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council congratulates Colonnade Enterprises for winning a Gold OBIE for Best Green Remodeled Home 2,500 square feet and larger. Best Green Remodeled Home is a project that utilized “green” remodeling practices to remodel a substantial portion of the residential house, inside or outside.

Colonnade Enterprises, Inc. performed a whole house renovation to enhance aesthetics, as well as function including energy saving and reduction of home owner maintenance items. During the major renovation of the brick, stone and even studs inside the house that were removed were cleaned (nails taken out of studs) and reused. In addition, the hardwood floors were reclaimed wood and the majority of the cabinets were made from reclaimed wood. The entire structure was sealed vastly improving energy efficiency. Colonnade Enterprises provided orientation to the home owners covering all the new EarthCraft features, utilization and future maintenance to keep the whole house system at peak efficiency. The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2010.
