Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties Names DeAnn Golden President and CEO

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties, one of the largest and most successful real estate organizations in the country, recently announced after more than 37 years serving as president and CEO at the company, Dan Forsman will ascend to the chairman of the organization.

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Georgia Properties is a full-service brokerage with 29 office locations throughout Georgia and more than 1,600 sales associates. Forsman is an iconic industry leader who has built a lasting legacy over the past nearly 60 years working in real estate brokerage for the Metro Atlanta and Georgia Markets.

According to Forsman’s comments on LinkedIn, the company has grown and prospered over the years and this decision was not made lightly and did not happen overnight.

“In fact, you could say I’ve been preparing for this very day for years by mentoring our fine Georgia Properties team and sharing all the knowledge and skills I’ve acquired over my 37+ years in this business,” Forsman said. “Speaking of that prosperity I mentioned earlier, we had an incredible 2021. Record-breaking. $5.2 billion in sales with 29 offices and more than 1,600 sales associates throughout Georgia. We’re also on track to do even better in 2022.”

This extraordinary success gives Forsman the confidence now is the right time to advance into the chairman role, and announce the following leadership advancements:

Effective July 1, 2022, DeAnn Golden will lead the company as president and chief executive officer; Kathy Connelly will serve as chief operating officer; Lori Lane will assume the role of president of Georgia Properties New Homes Division and executive strategist, Luxury Collection and Global Living; and Todd Tucker will take on the positions of executive vice president for Real Estate Operations and Qualifying Broker. Mary Wargula will step into an expanded role as SVP of Brokerage Offices and regional manager, and Janet Mauldin will serve as senior vice president of Relocation.

  1. Congratulations! Many of these names are very familiar since I was first introduced to New Homes as a new agent in Ga post my Olympic position here in 1996! So excited to see women now in senior roles !
    My first love has always been New Home sales and construction and whine still very active in general real estate I follow this niche in our industry actively!
