Vino Venue

Located on the perimeter in beautiful, refurbished Georgetown sits a restaurant with decadent handcrafted food and a wine bar with world-class selections. Vino Venue is truly a one-of-a-kind multi-purpose space with a self-serve wine bar, Mediterranean-inspired bistro, artisan marketplace and fun and educational wine and cooking classes. On today’s Around Atlanta episode, Rob Van Leer, Beverage Director and Partner of Vino Venue joins us to discuss the delicious research you can find at the venue and how you can eat and drink your mistakes without feeling guilty!

Founded in 2012 by Michael Bryan, Vino Venue was designed to be a one-stop-shop for everyone. It is a multiple-choice wine bar featuring 32 flavors and retail emporium that offers shopping, tasting, dining, education and entertainment all under one roof. Vino Venue can be whatever you want it to be, whether you want a fun night out with friends, a date night, a corporate event, or just a cool place to learn about, and taste, new wines. The concept that really draws customers in is the Enomatic wine dispensing machine featuring 32 wines that can all be tasted half glass or full glass with a rechargeable wine card. “The flavors change all the time,” stated Van Leer. “There are six to eight that are constant because people come in expecting those wines, but there are goofy, off-the-wall flavors and the normal, safe wine,” he said. “There is literally something for every adult at Vino Venue.”

The team behind Vino Venue are truly experts and have some of the best palates in Atlanta. The selection of wine is top-notch and if desired, customers can have these experts guide them through the venue to make it an educational and unique experience. The beauty of wine is pairing it with amazing food and family and friends. Vino Venue offers a delicious menu with popular lunch and dinner items, as well as a three-course wine pairing menu. House favorites include Mushroom Flatbread, crispy Pork Belly Tacos, and the 24-hour honey soy-braised Beef Short Ribs. “There are a few do’s and don’ts that really make a difference,” explained Van Leer. “For example, a big ribeye steak needs a bitter wine to really relish the flavor and while Italian wines are earthy, they pair perfectly with pasta and parmesan.”

In addition to the incredible wine bar and dining options, Vino Venue also features an artisan market filled with wine accessories and locally made products like fresh jams and jellies. Artisanal wines are available for purchase for tasting or by the bottle. Customers are also encouraged to give the gift of wine and food through the various wine and cooking classes offered at Vino Venue. Creative classes are constructed for guests to learn about wine and really enjoy the hands-on experience of cooking.
