Lisa Simmons Named to BlazeSports Board

Beacon Management Services is proud to announce that President Lisa Simmons was named to the BlazeSports Board of Directors. BlazeSports, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed as the legacy organization of the 1996 Paralympic Games in Atlanta, was founded to provide adaptive sports and recreation programs for children and military veterans with physical disabilities.

“I’m honored to serve BlazeSports as a Board member and am excited about the opportunity to give back, particularly to the underserved,” Simmons said.

As a Board member, Simmons supports the work of BlazeSports through mission-based leadership and strategic governance. Simmons’ career in real estate and business, including leading Beacon Management Services during the past decade, will provide ideas and inspiration to the organization.

In addition, Simmons’ creative fundraising prowess will be essential to her success on the Fundraising Committee. To date, Simmons has raised more than $75,000 for the nonprofit through her “Moving Mountains” hikes. Past hikes have included the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, Rim to Rim trail across the Grand Canyon and summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa. Simmons will continue her fundraising in 2022 by climbing Mont Blanc, the tallest mountain in the Alps.
