The Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council congratulates Aycock Properties for winning a Gold OBIE in the Residential Remodeling – Addition category for Lanier Drive in Dekalb County. The OBIE awards are the highest honor given to Atlanta real estate.
Aycock Properties took a difficult design of a garden on top of a finished garage that was causing major leaks and structural issues, and executed a plan to turn it into an aesthetically pleasing, cost effective and usable finished space. The garden was demolished and an additional family room, mudroom, bedroom, full bathroom and enclosed brick staircase were added. The breakfast room was opened up to the newly added family room to make it feel as if it had been part of the original house. A beautiful, stacked stone façade was added to the exterior. New hardwood floors were tied into the existing flooring, and beautiful cedar beams were put in at the family rooms. A custom trimmed spiral staircase along with picture windows allow for a beautiful pathway from the garage to the mudroom.
