Urban Land Institute (ULI) Atlanta has issued a “Call For Entries” for its 19th Annual Awards for Excellence. This program recognizes an outstanding real estate development project or initiative that exemplifies the ULI’s mission of providing leadership in the responsible use of land, and in creating and sustaining thriving communities throughout the southeast.
Nominations are being accepted for the Awards of Excellence, as well as for two awards recognizing lifetime achievement in both private and the non-profit/public sectors.
The Frank Carter Community Achievement Award: This award is given to an individual in the field of real estate development or a related private sector area such as finance, planning or design, or to someone who has made an outstanding contribution in his or her lifetime to the metropolitan Atlanta region.
The Dan & Tally Sweat Community Leadership Award: This award is given to a leader within the non-profit/public sector who has made a significant contribution to promoting responsible land use in the metropolitan Atlanta region.
Nominations are due Friday, May 24, 2013. The awards dinner will be held on Thursday, September 12th, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
ULI Atlanta, the Atlanta affiliate of the Urban Land Institute, advances responsible land use policy and real estate development practice throughout greater Atlanta. The nonprofit group is supported by its members. They examine land use issues, impartially report their findings and convene forums to find solutions to complex land use problems.
