On today’s Around Atlanta Edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick are joined by Starr Cumming, director of specialty leasing at Atlantic Station to discuss the property’s various holiday events, exciting upcoming openings and more.

Starr has been with Atlantic Station for two years, after more than 20 years working in commercial real estate in the shopping center industry. Atlantic Station hosts more than 200 events on its property every year. Right now, Atlantic Station is in the middle of celebrating the holiday season with its authentic Christkindl German Market, Santa’s cottage, ice skating, the property’s 50-foot Christmas tree and the brilliant lights decorating the area.

Atlantic Station has everything to entertain, including 14 different restaurants, a skate snack shop for parents and kids when taking a break from the ice rink and more. A 450 square-foot event pavilion has opened next to the ice rink and will remain open through February 14  for special events such as birthday parties, wedding, family reunions, corporate holiday parties and more. Contact Starr at www.AtlanticStation.com to book the venue for your special event.

The Christkindl Market is hosted by German American Cultural Foundation. This is the second year of the market and the number of booths has grown from ten booths last year to eighteen booths this year. Christkindl is open through December 23 and attendees can enjoy authentic German bratwurst, breads, snacks, candies, Glühwein, which is a German mulled wine, authentic nutcrackers from Steinbach, handmade toys, glass art and more. Atlantic Station hopes the market continues to grow, Starr says, since around 65,000 Germans live in in Metro Atlanta and German companies such as Mercedes Benz and Porsche are heavily involved in the Atlanta area.

Shopping at Atlantic Station includes something for everyone. Z Gallerie recently opened its own building after 10 years as an Atlantic Station tenant and offers unique home decor, furnishings and more. The Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United pop-up store and American Eagle’s Tailgate pop-up store is the perfect place to find gifts for the sports fan in the family. H&M is expanding its store to become the  franchise’s largest location in Atlanta when finished and a brand-new Japanese barbecue “cook-it-yourself” restaurant is coming in January.

Atlantans don’t need to drive from outside the perimeter to experience all that Atlantic Station has to offer. Atlantic Station has several opportunities for sale and for rent in its Town Center, the 12 Hotel and along 17th Street. Several demographics, including empty-nesters, millennials and young professionals are moving to Atlantic Station in throngs.
