As we continue to watch the rebound of the Atlanta Real Estate market, a bit of news has the entire Atlanta home building industry buzzing. The Atlanta Business Chronicle released its list of Top 20 Home Builders. The list of builders is ranked by number of homes closed in 2014.

The strength of the Atlanta real estate community is evident when looking at this year’s list. Many of the builders listed have seen an increase in the number of homes closed over last year. D.R. Horton comes in at No. 1 with an amazing 1,845 homes closed in 2014, the builder acquired Crown Communities in 2014 a move that undoubtedly helped with the jump from second place on last year’s list to first place this year.

Pulte Group comes in at second place with 602 homes closed in 2014. Pulte is also the builder that has been in Atlanta the longest of any other builder on the list, having entered the Atlanta market in 1968, which is a testament to the builder’s ability to remain relevant in Atlanta’s ever changing real estate and home building market.
