During the holiday season, there is no shortage of people in need and ways to help them. For real estate professionals, whose careers focus on moving people into the homes they dream of, this is equally true because of the Atlanta real estate industry’s efforts to provide shelter for homeless people. On today’s All About Real Estate segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, Ansley Brooks, Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council (SMC) board member and Brock Built Homes sales agent joins co-hosts Carol Morgan and Todd Schnick to discuss how Atlanta real estate professionals can give back to the community through the Atlanta SMC’s upcoming silent auction and holiday party.
The SMC is currently seeking donations for the silent auction. These can be vacation trips, cabin stays hotel stays, gift cards, jewelry, electronics, airfare, artwork, sports tickets, golf outings, services from media partners theatre event tickets, or cash donations directly for HomeAid Atlanta. Donation items can be turned in at or mailed to the Greater Atlanta HBA’s office in Tucker by November 3.
This year’s silent auction and holiday party will take place on Thursday, December 7 at the Hyatt Perimeter Villa Christina. The silent auction will involve the entire Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA), whose designated charity is HomeAid Atlanta, who has worked since 2001 to provide opportunities and build new lives for Atlantans who experience homelessness. The event is a great way to network with fellow professionals, do some holiday shopping and give back to a great cause. To make a bid on a silent auction item, bidders must be present. Event tickets are $45 for SMC members and $55 for non-SMC members. Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit HomeAid’s efforts.
Brooks is a sales agent at Brock Built Homes, who has created over 30 communities in the Atlanta area, including coveted neighborhoods such as Cobb County and Woodstock.
