This week’s edition of the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show highlights two unique guests: one of north metro Atlanta’s premier active adult builders, The Orchards Group, and an Atlanta favorite, Waffle House.

Mitch Block, director of sales and marketing for The Orchards Group, is on hand to discuss the success the active adult builder is currently seeing, as well as introduce a new community that is currently under development. The active adult market saw a great deal of pent-up demand released during late 2012 and throughout 2013 thanks to the resale market picking up. Active adults were finally able to sell their current home, allowing them to move into the unique resort-style communities that The Orchards Group builds. This led to a record year for The Orchards Group in 2013 with more than 90 homes sold in just two communities.

Active adult buyers now have a brand new chance to live at a community built by The Orchards Group, as The Orchards of Stoney Point is now under development. Located in Cumming about one mile from GA 400, this new development is adjacent to The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm, another community from the builder that sold out earlier this year. Potential buyers at this community will have the opportunity to select from attached master-on-the-main townhome villas or ranch condominiums that are priced from the $270,000s through the $360,000s.

The Orchards Group is currently offering a home site deposit program for those buyers who want to go ahead and secure their new home at this community. Since the program started on May 31, 2014, more than 30 home site deposits have already been taken for The Orchards of Stoney Point.

Just like all communities built by The Orchards Group, The Orchards of Stoney Point features an excellent location and an impressive list of amenities. Located off of Peachtree Parkway, the community is convenient to excellent shopping at the Collection of Forsyth, top-rated medical care at Northside Hospital and plenty of dining and entertainment options. Homeowners will also find plenty to do inside the community, which will have a grand clubhouse, swimming pool and community events and activities.

To learn more about The Orchards of Stoney Point’s lot deposit program, listen to the full podcast above. You can also contact the sales team, which is currently located in the model home at The Orchards of Brannon Oak Farm, by calling 678-513-8879. Kelly Thrasher, communications director and public relations manager with Waffle House, is on the radio show to discuss two exciting new things the company now offers in Atlanta. Waffle House is a home-grown company that was started in 1955 in Avondale Estates by two neighbors who wanted a 24-hour restaurant in the community. Today, there are more than 300 Waffle Houses in metro Atlanta.

Waffle House aficionados can visit the site of that very first Waffle House restaurant, which now houses the Waffle House Museum. Here, visitors can see an exact replica of the original store, which highlights the differences between the first restaurant and the modern-day version. In addition, the museum houses memorabilia from the last 59 years of Waffle House history. The museum is open by appointment only during the week, and interested visitors can contact the Waffle House corporate office at 770-326-7086 to schedule an appointment. The museum is also open one Saturday each quarter for public visits.

If you want to serve the best scattered, smothered and covered hash browns at your next event, you can bring Waffle House to you with the company’s new food truck. Most commonly used for catering special events, including weddings, the truck has an entire dedicated food team that works with you to provide the best Waffle House offerings that you can’t help but love. To find out more information on bringing the Waffle House food truck to your next event, contact atl.catering@wafflehouse.com.
