This special edition of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio features an interview with Ro Preisinger, who was named the 2014 Associate of the Year at the 34th annual OBIE Awards. Each year, this award is presented to a member of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association (HBA) in recognition of their accomplishments in the areas of service to the industry and association, professional excellence and community involvement, furthering the mission and goals of the association.
Ro is a sales associate with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, the largest real estate company in the greater Atlanta market. Currently, the company has 1,100 agents throughout 12 offices, and it has the largest new homes division.
Since beginning her real estate career in the 1980s, Ro has worked in a variety of areas throughout metro Atlanta, becoming one of the area’s premier agents. She has also served on a variety of councils and committees of the HBA, and she was elected to the Board of Directors for the Sales and Marketing Council (SMC). While a board member for the SMC, she was the Co-Chairman of the Awards Committee, where she was instrumental in the success and growth of the OBIE Awards. Ro became the President of the SMC in 2008, she served several terms on the HBA’s Board of Directors, she is an active life member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors Million Dollar Circle, and a member of the exclusive Coldwell Banker Presidents Club.
When asked what the Associate of the Year Award meant to her, Ro said she felt honored. There is a great deal of competition for an award like this because there are so many outstanding sales associates in Atlanta. She put forth an abundance of energy into being the best she could be this year, and it paid off as she received this coveted award.
Ro expects 2015 to be a great year for herself, Berkshire Hathaway and the Atlanta real estate market. Ro stated she will work with two new communities this year, and she believes that this year will be comparable to 2005 in Atlanta.
