Butter Smith with Paran Homes is this week’s guest on the award-winning Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show. Butter talks about the rapid growth of his company, and his interview is followed by a discussion with Connie Sutherland of the Marietta Gone With The Wind Museum.
Butter Smith is the president of Paran Homes.
Paran Homes, which was founded in 2010, is currently building in more than 20 communities in Cherokee, Clarke, Cobb, Coweta, Douglas, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Walton Counties with plans to open an additional eight to 10 communities in 2014. Paran Homes’ success has come from the fact that they choose communities based on their location, surrounding amenities, schools and lot cost. They also focus on building the best quality home they can, including many standard features that would be upgrades with other builders, and on treating their buyers how they would want to be treated.

Our next guest is Connie Sutherland who is the director of the Marietta Gone With The Wind Museum.
The Marietta Gone With The Wind Museum, also known as Scarlett on the Square, was originally opened in 2002 and then reopened again in 2003 with a completely new, original collection. Located n the Old Thomas Warehouse Building from the 1880s, the museum is the only one in the United States to have a dress worn by Vivien Leigh in the film. It also has various signed copies of the books from Margaret Mitchell, scripts, costume pieces, press releases on the actors and actresses and much more. Through the years, the museum has become a great place for group tours and special events, including a special 75th anniversary celebration of the movie next year.
To hear more about the museum located just steps away from historic Marietta Square, listen to the full podcast.
