On this week’s All About Real Estate segment of Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio, Kelly Kingsfield, the chief experience officer with Monte Hewett Homes, is on hand to discuss the many projects the builder currently has underway.

Monte Hewett Homes has been building new homes in Atlanta since 1988, and the company’s primary focus is on design. Kingsfield likes to describe the builder as a design firm who builds homes, as Monte Hewett is largely focused on exterior architecture and providing buyers with a different product. Another important aspect is making sure that it is building homes in excellent locations that will provide buyers with the best school districts, walkability and green space.

Some of the areas Monte Hewett Homes is currently building in include Chastain Place, which is within walking distance to Chastain Park; Forrest Commons, which allows residents to walk to downtown Roswell; and East Howard Place, which is located in the Decatur City School district. In addition, the builder has two excellent intown locations that are coming soon – Ansley at Piedmont, which is across the street from Piedmont Park, and St. Andrews, which is located at the intersection of E. Andrews Drive and W. Paces Ferry Road.

Perhaps Monte Hewett Homes’ most exciting project that is currently underway is the new homes being built at Avalon, a mixed-use development in Alpharetta. The builder is constructing 101 new homes at this address, including 25 single-family homes and 76 attached residences.

The single-family homes being constructed at Avalon, known as Courtyard Villa homes, are like nothing that has ever been built in Atlanta. Designed by Lew Oliver, each home has an interior courtyard that is accessible from all of the home’s main living areas. These courtyards, which provide an additional 1,600 to 1,700 square feet of outdoor living space, will include a loggia and room for a small pool, providing homeowners with a completely private oasis in the middle of this amazing development.

The pricing on the first six homes was released on July 23 through the community’s VIP newsletter, and the homes will be available for sales in late August.

Avalon will provide its residents with an unmatched lifestyle, as the homes are attached to a development that includes 60 retail options, 14 restaurants, a cinema, Whole Foods market and excellent amenities, such as concierge service, live concerts and movies in the park. This development will allow residents to live a truly walkable lifestyle without ever leaving the fantastic city of Alpharetta.

In addition to the amenities within Avalon, residents will have access to their own private amenities. These amenities include a large center green, a private swimming pool with a unique design, a dog park and exclusive concierge services. There will be three levels of concierge service available, with one being complimentary, that will include services such as making hotel, restaurant or spa reservations, keeping residents updated on events and activities in the community, securing movie tickets, walking resident’s pets and even delivering groceries from Whole Foods.
