Our next guest is Joe Schulman who is the director of marketing for the Tellus: Northwest Georgia Science Museum.
Tellus is a 120,000 square foot Smithsonian affiliate museum located in Cartersville. Opened in 2009 as an expansion of the existing Weinman Mineral Museum, Tellus features a little bit of everything when it comes to science. At the museum, you will find gems and minerals, dinosaurs, earthquakes, models of the first cars, aviation models, a planetarium and plenty of interactive activities for the kids, including a fossil dig and gem panning. The museum will also soon be home to a NASA approved Apollo exhibit, which will feature many artifacts from these missions including the largest moon rock in the state.
