David Ellis with the Greater Atlanta HBA is this week’s guest on the award-winning Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio show. David talks about the condition of our real estate market, and his interview is followed by a round table discussion on the top walkable neighborhoods in the metro area.

David Ellis has been the Executive Vice President of the Greater HBA for seven years, and has been working in the housing industry for the past 25 years. The Greater Atlanta HBA is a sustained resource for the housing and construction industry in the greater Atlanta area. They offer educational programs, work with governments to build better communities and create networking opportunities in order for the industry to be healthy and successful.

In Atlanta specifically, David has seen home values and home sales consistently increasing. However,  he says that we are still nowhere near the levels we were at 10 years ago. Areas such as South Forsyth, North Fulton and East Cobb in particular have seen sustained and positive growth, which has really allowed them to blossom into vibrant communities. On the other hand, these markets are also tightening, so builders are starting to turn towards lots in less developed areas to start building out those parts of town.
