Our next guest is Joe Skopitz who is the assistant general manager for Centennial Olympic Park.
Centennial Olympic Park is a lasting legacy of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta. Today, the park serves multiple purposes: it is an economic generator for the downtown area, it serves as a public gathering place and it acts an Olympic museum. The number one attraction at the park is the Fountain of Rings, which runs daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. with choreographed water shows every couple of hours. During the winter, visitors to the park are also in for a special treat as the park is fully dressed for the holidays with lights and decorations, and there is an ice skating rink, open November 23 through January 20, on the north end of the park.
