Jim LaVallee and Joey Edwards are this week’s guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. This lively show introduces our listeners to modern Atlanta homes, and discusses what might be “bugging” your home due to the mild winter.

Jim LaVallee is the president of Epic Development. Jim is an Atlanta native who grew up around the real estate industry. Epic Development was founded in 2008 to help finish homes that had been abandoned by builders who were faced with economic distress, and now the company has shifted to mainly building custom homes in and around Atlanta.

Epic Development is different than your typical builder because they focus on more modern prairie and mid-century modern style houses. Each home that they design and build is completely unique, so you won’t find another one like it just down the street. The Modern Prairie style of home is inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright. These homes typically have open floor plans on the main level, continuous roof lines, larger windows and simpler finishes. This style has been particularly popular in the Atlanta market, and these homes will typically go under contract within the first few weeks of construction.

Our next guest is Joey Edwards who is the president of North Fulton Pest Solutions. He has been in the pest control industry for over 30 years. North Fulton Pest Solutions is a family owned and operated company that has been serving the metro area for over 40 years.

North Fulton Pest Solutions is not only a pest and termite company, they also offer moisture control and mosquito control,as well as wildlife and insulation services. Insulation services may seem out of the norm for a pest control company, but more often than not when wildlife gets into your home they damage or contaminate the insulation, which would then need removal and replacement. Another unique service they provide that is especially helpful in the summer is mosquito control. Mosquito control is when their team comes out to your home or business and uses a misting machine to cover your foliage from top to bottom. Joey says that this service has been especially popular this summer because of last year’s mild winter..

For more on how North Fulton Pest Solutions can serve you and on their sponsorship of the Builders Club Rewards program, listen to the full podcast. For more information, visit the North Fulton Pest Solutions website.
