Construction Resources’ Design Center Director Antonette Copeland is today’s All About Real Estate guest on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Construction Resources was started by Fred Hires 40 years ago as a cultured marble fabrication company. Today, Construction Resources is run by Fred’s sons Mitch and Sonny Hires.  The company has expanded and merged with four other companies in the Atlanta area – Atlanta Glass and Mirror, Atlanta Kitchen, Builders Floor Covering & Tile and Atlanta Marble Manufacturing.

Construction Resources provides residential and commercial materials for builders, remodelers and homeowners alike, making it the one-stop shop for everyone’s kitchen and bath needs. The staff at Construction Resources can provide a diverse product selection while simplifying ordering and scheduling for the buyer.

The Construction Resources campus in Decatur is an amazing facility, and its crowning jewel is the design center. Recently renovated, the 10,000 square foot showroom is the ultimate destination for homeowners, builders, contractors and designers looking to make selections. In addition, it offers builders and designers the opportunity to send their clients to visit knowing that there is a highly-competent team of designers available that can assist them with the selection process. Construction Resources has a second design center in Alpharetta on State Bridge Road. Also open to the public, this design center is currently undergoing renovation.

When asked about the most interesting aspect of being the director of the design center, Copeland stated that working with a team that has such different design backgrounds and experiences is great. She also says that she loves being involved in so many different homebuilding projects, from residential projects to large events, such as the holiday showcase home done by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine.

Copeland listed the company’s most popular products as Cambria countertops, followed by their natural stone countertops. The quartz products are extremely durable, scratch and stain resistant, don’t have to be sealed and require no special cleaning product, which all contributes to their popularity.

Cambria recently announced 13 new quartz designs, expanding the company’s offering to more than 120 designs in five unique collections. In addition, Cambria has partnered with Benjamin Moore to create the perfect paint palette to go with the countertop designs. The company has also released a jumbo-sized quartz countertop that measures almost 11 feet long, which eliminates seams. This means that a single quartz piece can be utilized for oversized islands, commercial spaces, large desks, conference tables and more.

Copeland also pointed out during her interview that Construction Resources’ Fall Sale is just around the corner, making it the perfect time to visit the Decatur campus. The sale, which includes deep discounts and giveaways, will be held Friday, Oct. 24 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
