Meril Missbach and Lane Bailey are this week’s guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio. Meril shares with us some current market trends, while Lane provides a guy’s perspective on buying a home.
Meril Missbach is the director of sales with Coldwell Banker NRT Development Advisors. Meril has been in the industry for over 40 years, and is very passionate about what she does.
Coldwell Banker NRTDA offers buyers and sellers expertise for any type of property they are looking to buy or sell. Currently, one of their hottest properties is 1010 Midtown, which is one of Atlanta’s top selling high rise condominium residencies. Meril is also working with several new construction builders to help them finish and sell their distressed assets. Her and her team have been highly successful at repositioning properties for banks and lenders, so that they can go on the market. New home construction foreclosures are a great opportunity for many buyers, but Meril says that these opportunities are going quickly, so interested buyers should act quickly!

Our next guest is Lane Bailey, the car guy and a real estate agent with Century 21 Results Realty. Lane got into the realty business because of his love of cars and garages. When he and his wife were searching for their last home, he realized there were not many real estate agents who catered to car aficionados who want big garages. He decided to seize the opportunity, since he knew he had the knowledge and contacts to be successful.
Lane loves working with homes that have massive–4,000 square foot–garages. These garages can house anything from boats and motorcycles to cars and all of the tools and technology to work on them. However, he says that the “typical” guy wants ten to 12 electrical outlets, insulated walls and room for a few tools as well as their car.
