After being named 2015 Marketing Director of the Year, Caroline Simmel, senior vice president of marketing at Edward Andrews Homes, tells Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio how grateful she is to have received such a prestigious award.

Caroline uses her broad residential real estate marketing experience to lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies that achieve corporate objectives while ensuring Edward Andrews’ brand voice is articulated through all levels of communication.

Over the last year, under Caroline’s guidance, Edward Andrews secured 4.3 million-plus media impressions; increased website leads from approximately 503 per month to an average of 1,098 per month; garnered an impressive array of awards, including the Atlanta Business Chronicle‘s Pacesetter Award and the Georgia Fast 40 Award; and she helped Edward Andrews be named to The Atlanta Journal Constitution‘s Top Workplaces 2015 list.

“Instead of being a builder-centric builder, we’re going to be a customer-centric builder and really build things that our customers want,” says Caroline when referring to the changes Edward Andrews Homes has gone through in the past year.  Edward Andrews Homes is constantly creating new and innovative ways to appeal to customers. Caroline says they had to be more innovative and be a more design driven company than others because of all of the technological advances in this day and age.

The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s OBIE Awards celebrates its 35th anniversary in 2015. The awards began in 1980 and have grown throughout the years to include more than 100 building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement categories.
