For the fourth year in a row, the city of Atlanta has claimed the top spot in Penske Truck Rental’s annual list of the top destinations to move to in the United States. Thanks to a low cost of living and excellent employment opportunities, more people are migrating to Atlanta and calling the city home.

Companies like Coca-Cola and The Home Depot, as well as nearly a dozen other Fortune 500 companies, have their headquarters based out of Atlanta, meaning there are a wide range of job opportunities available for residents. In addition, the cost of living is fairly inexpensive. Living here costs less than half the cost of living in Manhattan. Not only is the cost of living better in Atlanta, but the weather is also, on average, significantly better with an average temperature of 79 degrees in May.

According to CNNMoney, the median income in Atlanta is $66,300, the median home price is $166,000 and home prices are forecasted to grow by 5.3 percent.

The other cities that made the top 10 list include:

2. Tampa, Fla./Sarasota, Fla.

3. Dallas, Texas

4. Orlando, Fla.

5. Phoenix, Ariz.

6. Houston, Texas

7. Seattle, Wash.

8. Chicago, Ill.

9. Denver, Colo.

10. Las Vegas, Nev.

“We have seen a continued migration of Penske Truck Rental customers from the Northeast and Midwest parts of the U.S. into these areas,” Penske Truck Rental’s Senior Vice President, Don Mikes, said.

Penske Truck Rental bases its annual list on the number of one-way move requests the company received in 2013 via their website and the call city.
