Now in its 52nd production, the Atlanta Ballet’s Nutcracker makes Christmas magic come to life with over twenty pounds of snow, eight tons of scenery, lighting, and props and a thirty-eight feet tall Christmas tree.

This unique production of the adored classic tale returns to the Fabulous Fox Theatre December 8 through December 24, joined by the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra for all performances. The unbelievable story unfolds on a chilly Christmas Eve, transporting both the young and young-at-heart though a winter wonderland where childhood fantasies turn into an enchanted, sugar-trimmed reality.

Sponsored by Belk, Inc., the Atlanta Ballet invited more than 250 Atlanta area school children to audition and be selected to perform with the Ballet’s Nutcracker cast of 21 professional company members and five company apprentices.
