In what has become a yearly tradition at its annual Christmas luncheon for builders, developers, attorneys, bankers, mortgage bankers, loan officers and their staffs, Coldwell Banker American Land Mart (ALM) of Conyers made a substantial contribution to a local non-profit organization.
The latest recipient was the Phoenix Pass project of Rockdale County Emergency Relief Fund Inc., which was established to serve the needs of women and families experiencing homelessness by giving them the opportunity to reestablish self-sufficiency in a residential setting. Being developed on a 27-acre site on Sigman Road, the program’s facilities consist of Dream House for medically fragile children; Respite Care Home operated by Rockdale Cares; and Emergency Care Transitional Housing, all clustered around a chapel and gathering center.
Coldwell Banker American Land Mart, which has a major share of the luxury home market in the Rockdale County area, is an independent real estate company handling the sales and marketing of numerous subdivisions in the East Metro area. In 2006, ALM had a 63% market share in all homes sold above $500,000 in Rockdale County. The company was founded by Alton Housworth Jr. in 1986 and was sold to the Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty organization in January of 2004.
