Atlanta Journal Constitution reporter Julie B. Hairston interviewed John Wieland this week about the housing downturn. Her story “Homebuider Wieland ‘upbeat’ amid housing downturn” ran on Feb. 6, 2008.

Wieland reflects on the tough market in 2007 and the decisions his company has made to overcome the challenges of 2008. John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods recently launched the Sale of a Lifetime offering homebuyers a lifetime warranty and $10,000 to $100,000 price discounts on homes. Due to the success of the sale, it has been extended through Feb. 17. Wieland states, “The sale produce 89 sales for the company between Jan. 25 and Feb. 3, twice the number sold during the same time period in 2007.”
