David Weekley Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately-held home builders, announces Adam Cornett as its new Atlanta division president. Cornett brings 15 years of home building expertise to his new role. He joined the company in 2014 as a project manager before being promoted in 2016 to his most recent position as division president in Dallas/Ft.Worth.

“I am excited to join the Atlanta team and continue to grow this division,” said Cornett. “I look forward to finding new opportunities to bring our award-winning homes to more homebuyers in the greater Atlanta area.”

Adam CornettPrior to joining David Weekley Homes, Cornett worked for Parco for three years as General Manager and Oilfield Product Manager.  And before that he was with Pulte Homes and Centex Homes for seven years. During this time he worked as Field Manager, Lead Field Manager, Resource Planning Agent and Expeditor and Resource Planning Manager.

Cornett holds a Bachelor of Science in agricultural leadership and development from Texas A&M University and a Master of Business Administration in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University.

This summer David Weekley Homes met a major milestone with its 100,000th home closing since the company’s inception in 1976.
