The BUILDER 100, an annual list ranking the country’s top 100 building firms, has been released and it showcases 16 metro Atlanta home builders. Compiled by builder magazine, the list features a diverse group of builders, which is a testament to the overall growth and strength of the housing market.

Compiled by BUILDER magazine, the list of the country’s top 100 builders is based on the number of closings each builder had in 2014. This year, the top builder, D.R. Horton, had 30,455 total closings, a more than 17 percent increase than the total number of homes D.R. Horton closed as the top builder in 2013.

Three of the 16 metro Atlanta builders are on the BUILDER 100 list for the first time, including Kolter Homes, Smith Douglas Homes and Green Brick Partners. The complete list of metro Atlanta builders ranked in the top 100 is:
