Winter Solstice Celebration This Weekend
It seems like last week that we were celebrating the summer solstice with Monte Hewett Homes, but it has already been 6 months, meaning it’s time for the winter solstice. You probably aren’t used to celebrating these days in the year, unless you are fortunate enough to call Heatherton home. Heatherton is an extraordinary community in Roswell built by Monte Hewett Homes that features manor, courtyard and town home collections. The reason this community likes to celebrate the changing of the seasons is because of the formal hedge maze that casts Stonehenge-like shadows during the solstice. The maze, called Heatherton Folly, also has two intertwined labyrinths that help to mark the time and seasons as well.
So, be sure to join the Heatherton neighbors in the maze this Sunday, December 21st. It’s sure to be a spectacular day to take advantage of the natural beauty of Heatherton Folly and to witness the natural wonders of the incredible Solstice Shadow. Monte Hewett Homes will also be providing hot chocolate for attendees, however it seems like iced tea would be more appropriate considering the recent warm weather. The event begins at noon and continues to 1 p.m., with the main event happening at precisely 12:37 p.m. See you on Sunday!
