Windsong’s Active Adult Spec Homes Becoming Even More Popular

“Spec homes are becoming more popular because people are selling their old homes faster,” explained Kris Johnson, the on-site lifestyle consultant at Bel-Aire. “In most cases, they need to find a new home within 45 days instead of waiting the 120 days on a pre-sale build.”

Besides the time constraints, buyers choose spec homes over new construction if they are looking for a particular floor plan and/or upgrades. In most cases, the home is already built and ready to move-in with finishes already selected by a design professional.

“My spec went under contract to a buyer that loved the plan and upgrades that were already in the home,” states Johnson. “The home was a perfect match for her.”

Bel-Aire, Windsong’s newest community, is priced from the $200,000s. Homes feature luxurious master on the main suites, spacious interior rooms and flex space ready for a home office, library or arts studio.
