Windsong Properties is excited to announce its entrance into the 33rd OBIE Awards, which take place on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at the Cobb Galleria Center. The OBIEs, sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association Sales and Marketing Council, recognize outstanding achievement in new home building, marketing and remodeling. The company is competing in the building category with entrees for two of its active adult communities, Bel-Aire and Windsong Manor.
One entry features the popular Stratton floor plan at Bel-Aire, Windsong Properties’ 55+ community in Powder Springs. This home’s highlights include a large great room, open kitchen, private courtyard retreat and flexible casita. Its casita, or small house connected to the main living area with a covered breezeway, was recently featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution. In the article, “Learning to Share Space,” it explains that the casita, with a full bath, closet, kitchenette, living space and private entrance, is the perfect place for a returning child or guests.
“The casita floor plan has been a huge hit since our first one,” explained Carrie Roeger, operations manager at Windsong Properties. “We knew entering the Stratton into the OBIEs would show our innovativeness and design response to our target market.”
The second entry showcases the builder’s Bentley floor plan at Windsong Manor in Dallas. As one of the newest Windsong communities, Windsong Manor is located within the master planned community of Seven Hills and features distinctive two and three bedroom ranch homes with elegant layouts. The Bentley is the builder’s model home and offers spacious one-level living with the option for an independent living space in the finished basement. A permanent staircase to a floored attic and an oversized garage with optional third car addition provide plenty of storage space.
“We’d like to thank our great team for delivering such remarkable homes,” said Roeger. “We can’t wait to see who wins at the OBIEs!”
