Wickstead Works wins Gold Award at the OBIES

wickstead-before-exterior-front-small.JPGCongratulations is in order for Atlanta intown builder Wickstead Works because they received a Gold Award at this year’s Annual OBIE Awards Ceremony, held on November 3, 2007. Wickstead Works received the award in the Residential Remodeling whole house renovation category for their unique renovation on the Collier Hills home. They took a 1930’s bungalow and transformed it into a modern efficient home with an open floor plan, but still retained the original architectural integrity, which made the value of the home skyrocket from $500,000 to $1.1 wickstead-exterior-after.jpgmillion. These before and after pictures truly illustrate the tremendous project that Wickstead Works undertook, but the extraordinary job they did. The remodel met all of the client’s and site’s challenging requirements, which was not an easy task when blowing a bungalow from 1,516 square feet to 4,227 square feet. They even completed the remodeling in the originally quoted 26 week schedule! Great job Wickstead Works, this honor is well deserved.
