Website Analytics in Plain English
Last week, Google released a new version of Google Analytics (2.0). If you don’t already have it, get it. Its free and easy to use. The new version offers greater visibility of important data, improved metrics and statistical summaries in plain English. Google Analytics also offers a customizable dashboard and email reports.
If you haven’t used Google Analytics before, a brief tour and you’ll quickly find that its great for people who aren’t good a deciphering “techie jibber jabber”. Easy to read charts and graphs allow you to track where your site traffic is coming from and easily estimate ROI.While most web sites are set up with some sort of tracking capabilities, Google Analytics is by far the easiest for a layman to use…and the fact that it is free doesn’t hurt!
Ask your web development company about it (note: their may charge a fee for setting it up for you and/or showing you how to use it.)
