Walking Trail Now Open At Stonecypher in Suwanee

Hassell, Mayor Masino, Williams and Jordan Richport Properties recently celebrated the grand opening of the Brushy Creek Trail at Stonecypher in Suwanee with an official ribbon cutting ceremony. The 1,440-foot walking trail was constructed using tree mulch from the site, and is entirely within a conservation easement under the management of the Gwinnett Open Land Trust. The official ceremony was held at one of the two trail entrances with special guests, Mayor Nick Masino and Carol Hassell, president of the Gwinnett Open Land Trust. Guests were greeted by Lee Williams, Vice President of Community Development for Richport Properties. Mayor Masino then said a few words praising the public/private cooperation which led to the trail opening. Next, Hassell spoke to the crowd and emphasized the advantage that a permanently preserved natural area has for a community. After the speakers were finished, Hassell, Mayor Masino, Williams and Brad Jordan with Absolute Landscape (who installed the trail) joined together to cut the ribbon. Those in attendance were then invited to take a short tour of the trail and then meander up to the community pool where lunch and refreshments were served.
