Villas at Blackberry Run Couple Featured in AJC
If you perused Sunday’s Atlanta Journal Constitution, you may have noticed a smiling couple proudly discussing their home at Villas at Blackberry Run in the Homefinder section.
Bruce and Sandra Madden bought their Windsong Properties’ home in Villas at Blackberry Run last year. Moving from a retirement community in Florida, they found the metro Atlanta active adult community much more suitable and cozy. Sandra found that living in a retirement community with “old people” wasn’t her style; she wants to be young and stay active which is why their new community is perfect. Sandra plays poker, Bunco and Mahjong with a group of ladies.
Villas at Blackberry Run is in the Seven Hills community of Dallas. Not only do the Madden’s enjoy their active adult community’s clubhouse, they have the wide range of Seven Hills’ amenities to utilize as well.
The Maddens love their ranch-style home with built-in stairs that lead to the attic. Sandra especially cherishes the stacked-stone fireplace, which they turn on with the flip of a switch. They have added personal touches to their home such as adding beadboard under the kitchen counter and cabinets put in the laundry room. They also have a casita they upgraded so “it’s almost like a little motel guest room,” Sandra says in the article.
The Maddens love their home in the Windsong Properties’ community of Villas at Blackberry Run. The headline of the AJC article states their feelings plainly: “I am never moving again.”
