Understanding How a Home Lives and Breathes is a home inspection course for homeowners, investors and those looking to change careers and enter the home inspection business presented by Clayton State University and We Teach House Institute.

Homeowners will learn valuable information about their home and how to save thousands of dollars a year in costly repairs. Investors will learn what home inspectors look for and how to avoid making a costly buying decision. Those looking to change careers and become a Certified Home Inspector will be prepared for a career in inspecting homes as well as get ready to take the National Home Inspector Exam (NHIE) for certification in the inspection industry.

This 51 Hour Home Inspection and NHIE Prep Class is open to all. The class will cover standards and ethics of being a home inspector, how to be a home inspector and how to start your business, how to pass the NHIE exam for National Certification and how to market your business and perform an inspection.

  1. What a great service you offer with this prep course to prepare you for the examination to become an inspector for homes. I think this vocation could be so valuable and great fun. Dealing with people and trying to provide a safe and quality home for them to purchase. In just 51 hours that is great!
