ULI Atlanta’s Golf Tournament A Success!

If this year’s event is any preview as to what the future holds for the annual ULI golf tournament, then we are in for a yearly treat! The first annual golf tournament, held on Monday, Oct. 20, 2008 at the Atlanta Country Club, went off with a bang and surpassed the high goals ULI had set. This year’s goal was to raise $30,000 to help support ULI Atlanta’s three focus areas of sustainability, work force housing and infrastructure, and ULI Atlanta doubled their goal by raising $60,000. Twenty-six foursomes competed in the four person scramble and awards were given to the low gross and net winners.

On a regular basis ULI Atlanta provides its members the opportunity to address community building and land use issues in Atlanta through various education and outreach programs. The golf tournament is one way to support these programs, and it is through the generosity of ULI’s partners and members that the educational programs are able to take place. ULI is beyond elated at the amazing tournout for the inaugural tournament and cannot thank you enough for coming out and showing your support. Great job ULI!! We can’t wait until next year’s tournament.
