ULI Atlanta’s Development of Excellence Finalists Announced

Join real estate leaders from across the Southeast as they gather in September for the 14th annual ULI Atlanta awards dinner. The Excellence in Development awards honor Atlanta real estate legends and projects demonstrating Excellence in Development.

The Development of Excellence awards program is designed to recognize and draw attention to premier developments and projects throughout the Atlanta district council. These developments take into account the development principles and practices advocated by ULI nationally and internationally.

The criteria on which the projects were evaluated included the use of land, sustainability, creativity in organization/management, smart growth, innovation in design and architecture, filling a community need and providing a positive impact, having overcome obstacles in development and the use of public/private partnerships.

The 2008 Developments of Excellence finalists are:

• Pemberton Place/The World of Coca-Cola
• Serenbe
• Southface Energy Institute

Winners will be announced at the annual awards banquet at the Georgia Aquarium on Thursday, September 18, 2008. The event begins at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails and concludes with tours of the Aquarium. Attendees are encouraged to register early for the event, which is expected to draw over 750 attendees and sell out fast.
