ULI Atlanta Accepting Applications for Leadership Program
ULI Atlanta is currently accepting applications for their Center for Regional Leadership Development program. This is a brand new program, which means you probably don’t know that much about it; so, let’s define what this whole thing is about and why you should be interested.
The mission of the Center is to cultivate leadership and life strategy skills by teaching emerging leaders in the Atlanta real estate industry and related fields how the region gets built. The participants will learn to effectively collaborate on meeting the wide range of contemporary real estate development challenges in the Atlanta region.
It’s a pretty prestigious title to say that you have completed the program. The knowledge that you will gain through the course of the program will benefit you in all facets of life, not just professionally. And, it is a great opportunity to meet other leaders in the industry. In order to apply, you must meet the following criteria:
- Emerging Leader: Those who aspire to leadership positions and have a demonstrated track record of accomplishment within their own organizations and involvement in professional or volunteer organizations.
- Profession: Work in the real estate / land use industry or related field such as legal, banking, planning /design, development, construction, marketing / public relations, leasing or government.
- Education: Undergraduate degree.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 7yrs experience in the real estate/land use industry or related field as noted above.
Applications are due Thursday, July 16th by 5:30 p.m. You’ll be notified if you were selected to the program on August 31st, and the program will officially begin on Friday, October 2nd. You’ll want to tell family and friends that you’ll be graduating in May 2010.
