On Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, members of the Traton Homes team came together to stuff a Cobb Community Transit Bus in support of Cobb Christmas. Filling the bus to capacity with thousands of dollars in toys and gifts, Traton’s donations will go to help local families in need this holiday season.
“We have been a Cobb County homebuilder for more than 40 years and for nearly a decade we have partnered with Cobb Christmas to help spread holiday cheer to our neighbors in need,” said Kimberly Garwood, director of marketing at Traton Homes. “This year, we had the opportunity to expand our efforts by opening our model homes and corporate office as drop-off locations and we want to say thank you to members of the community that helped support Cobb Christmas in 2013.”
In addition to the drop-off locations available to the community, through the generosity of vendors and employees, Traton Homes was able to purchase an outpouring of toys and gifts for the organization. “The outpouring of generosity for our annual fundraiser for Cobb Christmas was truly overwhelming. Many thanks to all who helped make this project a huge success,” added Eric Price, chief operating officer at Traton Homes.
Cobb Christmas is a non-profit, non-denominational organization that is dedicated to help low-income and working poor families of Cobb County during the holiday season. Traton’s donation and the donations of many others will help provide pre-stuffed stockings to each child, a minimum of three gifts per child ages infant through 18 and a box of food per family. Cobb Christmas will distribute donations this weekend, Friday Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 16 at Jim Miller Park. For more information on Cobb Christmas, visit www.CobbChristmas.net.
