The State of the Market Address

About a month ago, Business to Business magazine published an article describing the current state of the Atlanta real estate market. The real estate market in general has been the hot topic of conversation for all news outlets for many, many months now due to the slump in 2007. But the main point we must remember is that we can’t focus on the national real estate market because real estate is local. That’s why this analysis of Atlanta’s housing market is so applicable and important. The article from BTB is just a summary from a Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association panel that took place in the end of February. The general consensus decided at this panel discussion is that in 2008, the housing market will eventually bottom out, resulting in the turn-around/recovery phase.

I know that many people have been waiting to purchase a home until the market hits rock bottom in order to get the absolute best deal possible on a home. Well, these home building and real estate experts of the GAHBA panel anticipate that event happening soon. The deals are availbale now, and I don’t think they can get any better. So, stop waiting and start searching for your dream home.

If this point hasn’t been brought to your attention yet, then you really need to ponder it - we aren’t going to know it’s rock bottom until we pass it, and then you will have missed the opportunity you have been waiting for. If you need more reasons to buy, explore the Get Home Atlanta! campaign.
