The Georgia Club Unveils Park Homes and Brownstones

Park HomesThe Georgia Club will soon break ground on its newest home designs, Park Homes and Brownstones. The concept of The Georgia Club’s newest offering is unique in that it introduces traditional urban design into a master-planned community away from a metropolitan area. Located in the Barrow County section of the community’s Oconee Springs neighborhood, the Park Homes and Brownstones keep with the Southern-style architecture of The Georgia Club and take cues from the historic cities of Charleston and Savannah to give them an urban flair. The neighborhood features 65 homesites in total, a combination of Brownstones with street-front entrances and Park Homes that feature porches and other exterior elements.

The Park Homes and Brownstones at The Georgia Club focus on the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. A one-acre park will offset the Park Homes, while a city square-style park will serve as the center of the Brownstone area. Exterior courtyards with walled garden areas give each individual home a private outdoor oasis. Home designs integrate the indoor space and outdoor courtyard with design features like living room surrounded by a wall of windows and doors on two sides to maximize the enjoyment of outdoor living. While brick pavers and boxwood gardens are standard features in the courtyard, homeowners may select to add a number of enhancements - tiered fountains, decorative trellises and splash pools - to personalize outdoor space.

Ideal for young professionals or mature buyers interested in moving to a more manageable space, as the Park Homes and Brownstones are low maintenance with lawn care provided. The homes are perfect for those wishing to divide their time between Athens, home to the University of Georgia, and a second home. Ranging in price from the high $200,000s to the high $300,000s, the homes allow The Georgia Club to enter the market at an attractive price point without compromising quality.

Built by Chesapeake Development, the Park Homes and Brownstones range in size from 1,500- to 2,800-square-feet with two or three bedrooms and an optional studio apartment. Several plans take advantage of main floor living with master bedrooms on the first floor. A second floor with added bedrooms, and even a third floor addition in a number of Park Homes, give the exterior of the attached homes a distinctive look. To ensure privacy and safety, the insulation is both fire retardant and virtually soundproof. All feature one- or two-car garages in the rear of the home.

More than 180 families currently live within the thriving Georgia Club community, located within 12 miles of Athens and less than 40 miles from metro Atlanta. It’s home to a newly-renovated, 37,000-square-foot Clubhouse, the 27-hole award-winning Chancellors Golf Course, resort-quality amenities and social activities, a swim park, fitness center, tennis complex, green space and a post office. Pedestrian- and golf cart-friendly streets, along with abundant green space throughout the community highlight The Georgia Club’s cultivation of a true neighborhood.
