Sterling on the Lake Takes Home Three OBIE Awards

Congratulations to Sterling on the Lake who received three OBIE awards at the recent gala held on November 7th. The OBIE awards are presented by the Sales and Marketing Council of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and have become the most prestigious awards for the Atlanta home building industry.

One of the biggest honors for the Sterling was that Jennifer Landers, regional marketing director for Newland Communities, was named “Marketing Director of the Year.”

As regional marketing director for Newland Communities, Landers oversees all marketing and public relations programs for Newland’s Georgia properties including Sterling on the Lake in Flowery Branch, Ga. She’s responsible for advertising, managing builder relations, coordinating Realtor relations programs and community events. She started with Newland Communities in 2003 as marketing manager, where she was involved in the grand opening design and execution of the marketing for Sterling on the Lake, which in 2006 won a Community of the Year OBIE Award for the Master Plan category.

The Marketing Director of the Year category was judged on a number of factors including professionalism, development and execution of marketing plans, unique marketing ideas, personal involvement in the industry and community, and working relationships. Industry professionals around the country judge the awards.

Sterling on the Lake also won a Gold Award for Best Ad Campaign – Developer for its “Put Your Feet Up” program, a service that helped home buyers transition more easily into a new home. In addition, Sterling Life, the community support organization of Sterling on the Lake, won a Silver Award for Community Service.
