Spring Atlanta Home Show Offers a Wealth of Knowledgeable Speakers
You may have recently read about the upcoming Spring Atlanta Home Show at the Cobb Galleria Centre from March 20-22, 2009. This year’s theme, Making Your Home New Again, will come to life with talented guests who will hold seminars and demonstrations on how you can affordably upgrade your home. Among the other topics covered at the show are cooking, gardening, lighting, flooring, and green living. Whether you are trying to sell your home or revamp your style, the Atlanta home and garden event has something for you in the home improvement department. Listed below are some of the honored guests and what to expect:
Tonya M. Williams, real estate expert and star of HGTV’s home makeover show “Designed to Sell”, who will speak Friday, March 20 at 4 p.m. On the Home Stage, Tonya will show homeowners how to spruce up rooms and add value to their homes using items they already own, plus a few new inexpensive accent pieces.
Vince Dooley, legendary former football coach of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and avid gardener. Coach Dooley will chat with the audience in A Conversation with Vince Dooley ranging from football to gardening and more on Saturday, March 21 at 11 a.m. He will appear courtesy of Champion Window and Patio Rooms. Following his talk, he will appear at the Champion booth where he will sign copies of his books, including his latest, Dooley’s Play Book: The 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History, from noon to 1 p.m.
Joe Washington, nationally-known television personality and former host of HGTV’s “Ground Breakers”, who will present two programs at the Atlanta Home Show. The first, Before You Start That Remodeling Job will be offered Friday, March 20 at 2 p.m. The second, Outdoor Living on YOUR Budget, will be presented Sunday, March 22 at 1 p.m.
Walter Reeves, the “Georgia Gardener”, who will offer a presentation on Saturday, March 21 at noon. His topic will be Cool Tools and Funky Fertilizers. He’ll showcase innovative new products like a Weed Wrench, a Garden Flamer and ConeiVore and ChickaPoo fertilizer.
Mark Spain, one of the top RE/MAX agents in the world. Mark has broken the $1 billion sales mark for lifetime sales and The Mark Spain Team is the only team in Georgia to be named to the national “Real Estate Top 100″ list. Mark will speak Friday, March 20 at 3 p.m. on Real Estate Success Stories in a Changing Market, and on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. he’ll present How to Sell Your Home in a Changing Market.
Allison Carter of The Professional Organizer, who will speak at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21. Allison will present Making the Most of Where You Are, a program on how to better organize your current home to maximize its efficiency for you and your family.
Don’t miss this home and garden event in Atlanta! You can buy tickets at the door for $10. Admission is free for seniors and children 12 and under. Hours are 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. If you want to attend more than one day, two-day passes are available for $15.
