Special financing for green homes

The National Association of Home Builders has compiled a web page with links to information on special financing and rebates for builders and buyers of green homes. From explanations of EEMs (Energy Efficient Mortgages) to a database of state incentives, the site is a good resource for maximizing your dollars when you’re building or buying green.

One Atlanta homebuilder who builds everything to meet both EarthCraft and Energy Star requirements is Haven Properties. The Alpharetta-based builder recently was named a 2008 Energy Star Partner by the U.S. EPA — for the third year in a row. Now through May 31st, Haven is helping homebuyers go green AND save green with their Million Dollar Inventory Reduction. They have new homes ready for move-in now in Cobb, Cherokee, Dawson, Douglas, Forsyth and South Fulton. Check it out.
