Sovereign to Host ULI Event

Stephen Blank, ULI Senior Resident Fellow The upcoming ULI Atlanta panel discussion on July 21st is a can’t miss event because it is going to be held at the award-winning building Sovereign. Sovereign has received national recognition for the innovative design and first-class residences and office space. So, it is the perfect venue to host a panel discussion on the future of the real estate industry called “Capital Markets.”

The Federal Reserve Chairman, Ben Bernanke, predicts the real estate market to turnaround by 2010, which is less than a year away. So, ULI thought it to be important to discuss the changes that are currently taking place to facilitate this turnaround as well as the changes that will take place in coming years.

Stephen Blank, ULI Senior Resident Fellow, will share his thoughts on the national capital markets. He will give a presentation as well as moderate the panel, which will focus more on a local and regional level. The panelists include Mike McDonald, managing director with Eastdil Secured, Thad Ellis, senior vice president with Cousins Properties, and Thomas L. Coakley, regional director with MetLife.

This event will be held on the 24th floor of Sovereign and is sponsored in part by Regent Partners, the developers of the luxury Buckhead high-rise. The conference will be held on July 21, 2009 from 7:30-9:30am. The cost of the conference is as follows.

  • Private – $30 for members, $45 for non-members
  • Public/Nonprofit & Young Leaders – $25 for members, $40 for non-members
  • Students – $20 for members, $35 for non-members.

SovereignPre-registration ends July 17, 2009 and all prices go up $10 after that deadline. For more information and to register online, please visit the ULI website.
