Donate to the Heron Bay Annual Food Drive

As Thanksgiving approaches, we all start to think about what we are grateful for, but what about those who are less fortunate than we are? It’s not referred to as the “season of giving” for nothing, and one great way to give is by participating in the annual food drive at Heron Bay Golf and Country Club. The Heron Bay Community Association will be holding their Annual Food Drive November 17 through December 8.

Items collected from the food drive will benefit The Haven House, A Friends House and Five Loaves & Two Fish Food Pantry. The Community Liaison Committee has gone above and beyond to make donating easy and convenient for residents. Grocery bags and fliers were distributed to each door on November 14 and 15, and residents can use these bags to put non-perishable items in them and leave them on their doorstep to be picked up on Tuesday 17.

There are also several other chances throughout the coming weeks to drop off items. Anyone can stop by the Heron Bay Lodge before December 8th to drop off donations. And, in addition, residents can bring donations to the Annual Meeting held December 2 or bring them to the Annual Holiday Party on December 5.

To help make this year’s food drive a tremendous success, residents are encouraged to be creative and place boxes in other areas like their work places for additional donations.

Heron Bay Golf and Country Club, located in Henry County, has several committees that plan events such as these throughout the year. Heron Bay is a master-planned community that offers homes for those in any stage of life, as well as a great amenities that create a resort-like atmosphere.
