Carol Flammer on High Velocity Radio
Marketing, public relations and social media expert and author Carol Flammer was a guest on High Velocity Radio to discuss her new book, “Social Media for Home Builders: It’s Easier Than You Think” and approach to new media.
An avid board member of the National Association of Builders, Carol heard that Builder Books was ”shopping” for a social media book. So, she sought them out since she is an expert in the area. The book discusses the interconnecting strategy and social media policy used to tie social media approaches together. There are different elements involved in a blog like Social Media Optimization (SMO), anchor text and key word strategies that help increase the traffic of websites.
“Social Media for Home Builders: It’s Easier Than You Think,” a current best seller, says the key to effective social media is creating a blog correctly the first time. A blog should be the engine of the company–a blog update will tweet, make posts on Facebook for you as well as connect to LinkedIn. Flammer suggests a consistent 8 stories a month on a blog and filling in between them with other messages and commentary from your business.
“There is always a story to tell,” said Flammer.
