The Fourth of July is only a few days away and if you’re looking forward to seeing some of the best fireworks displays in the southeast, Atlanta is the place to be! SEREI is proud to present the 2014 firework roundup, featuring some of the most spectacular shows and events in metro Atlanta.
Centennial Olympic Park: This yearly festival and fireworks display is a local favorite and is the park’s largest gathering of the year. Bring your friends and family along this Friday evening to hear high energy musical performances from Jorel “JFly Flynn” and one the most beloved American Idol winners ever, Taylor Hicks. The grand finale of the night will be watching the colorful fireworks display glittering against the famous Atlanta skyline. The gates to the park open at 6 p.m. with the fireworks display scheduled for 9 p.m.
Red, White and Brew at the Atlanta Aquarium: Not only is a trip to the aquarium to enjoy food, live music, and craft beer a perfect way to celebrate this festive holiday, but the proceeds from the event go toward a great cause, benefitting the Georgia Aquarium’s education initiative. The event will be held in the Oceans Ballroom and on the parking deck rooftop, with gorgeous views of the fireworks displays from Centennial Olympic Park on July 4. Get ticket information here.
Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain Park: Voted the “Best Place to See Fireworks in Atlanta” by readers of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, this three-day spectacular includes hits from today’s pop music, a mountainside laser show and an incredible fireworks display. Shows will take place July 3-5.
Norcross Red, White and Boom: Start your Independence Day celebrations early at this free event in Lillian Webb Community Park, beginning at 6 p.m. on July 3. Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and lawn chairs and children will have the chance to get wet playing on a splash pad. That night, you’ll be grooving to the music of a Bruce Springsteen tribute band before the breathtaking fireworks display.
Marietta’s Fourth in the Park: Spend the whole day at the vibrant Marietta Square and Glover Park, starting by taking in the beautifully decorated floats of the Freedom Parade at 10 a.m. After the parade, the whole family can enjoy the food and music filled festival. Check out the full itinerary and lineup of musical guests here.
East Point Independence Day Celebration: For those in the south metro area looking to celebrate America’s birthday over the weekend, check out the festivities at East Point Commons. The event is free and will feature music, carnival rides and a variety of vendors for an evening of family-fun. Fireworks will take place at dusk.
No matter which part of the metro area you live in, you’ll find plenty of fun things to do in and around Atlanta this Fourth of July, including seeing amazing fireworks!
