Robert Bowden, Inc., an employee-owned wholesale manufacturer and distributor of building materials to the residential construction market, has been named the 33rd fastest growing private company in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle acknowledges Atlanta’s 100 fastest growing private companies annually at its Pacesetter Awards. Qualifying companies must be headquartered in Atlanta, be privately held and have annual revenue between $1 million and $300 million. Growth is measured using a weighted average index over a two-year period. In the last two years, Robert Bowden, Inc. saw revenues increase by more than 109 percent, with 53 percent growth between 2012 and 2013.
Robert Bowden, Inc. is headquartered in Marietta and operates branch locations in both Duluth and McDonough. The company targets professional home builders by offering a unique blend of manufacturing, fabrication and one-step distribution of building products. It has achieved a 20 percent annual compounded growth rate since its founding in 1983.
“We are extremely proud of this honor,” said Steve Cole, CEO of Robert Bowden, Inc. “Being recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle for all of our labors is very gratifying, but we never lose sight that the most important award is winning the preference of our customers. It is the award that makes everything else possible.”
