Rick Porter Does More Than Build Great Homes

Rick Porter, founder and owner of Richport Properties, does a lot more than build solar homes and conservation communities. The third generation home builder also teaches two courses at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. He first taught Development of Communities and Residential Design and Construction in the fall of 2006, and earned such a positive rapport with students that he was asked to come back this spring to teach the two courses again. The classes are open only to those students in the Building Construction Masters Program at Tech with a focus in Residential Building Construction.
